The zip file MK3MENU should contain :

MK3MENU.TXT - This file
MK3MENU.EXE - The MK3Menu program

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

MK3MENU is a program, written in C, for the PC version of MK3. It does away
with all that fiddling with command line codes, and lets you pick a
combination of codes using a simple menu system. These options include
turning blood and violence on or off, turbo mode on, and the like. There is
a batch program hanging around somewhere, that allows you to pick command
line codes, but it only allows you to pick individual codes. MK3MENU, on the
other hand:

Allows you to pick any combination of codes..

Clearly shows which codes have been selected, using the [ON ] [OFF] boxes..

Stores the selected options till you quit from MK3MENU, so you can exit from
MK3, and add or remove a code without having to start from scratch..

Has loads of other points of merit, which have slipped my mind at the mo.

To use MK3MENU, copy the MK3MENU.EXE file to your MK3 directory. Then, when
you want to start MK3 using the menu, type MK3MENU at the command line,
in the MK3 directory. You will be presented with a screen with a number of
options, 1 to F , and a box next to each. By default, all the codes are off,
and by pressing the key next to that option, you will select that code.
Once you have finished selecting codes, press F to start the game, or Q
to quit the program.

If you press F, MK3 should start up, using the appropriate codes. There
are a few points to note. Firstly, if you want to be able to do fatalities
in the game, the turn blood off, and turn violence off options must both
be 'OFF'. This is the default when you load MK3MENU. Secondly, some options
, when used in conjunction, may cancel each other out, such as Turbo mode,
and the slow mode code. I may add a warning to this effect in any future
versions of MK3MENU.

That's about it. MK3MENU is freeware, that is, you can distribute it as much
as you like, as long as no modifications are made to the code, and this text
file is included. That's not to say that cash wouldn't come in very handy,
and would probably get you a copy if the source code. If you do think it's
worth anything, or have comments, suggestions, flames, etc, you can contact
me, Chris McMullen, at:

I may get round to doing another version.. I'd like to include the option
to use a mouse to select boxes, or possibly a background picture. All depends
how fast I learn how to do that :)
