Greetings and Salutations!

I couldn't find a saved game editor for Anvil of Dawn so I decided to write
one myself. It's crude, but it can edit the title of the saved game, the
character's name, strength, stamina, agility, power, hit points and spell
points.

I'm not sure what the upper limits to these values are, but I do know that
at certain levels the game acts really peculiar. For the time being, I have
kept ceilings of 255 for the character's attributes and 32767 for the
character's point totals. These seem safe and really boost your character's
prowess in the game. You can stand in the middle of a trap and shrug off its
effects for hours. And I haven't found a non-player character yet that can
even hit you. ( No, I have not finished the game yet. )

Anyway, I said the program is crude. There is no undo or escape capability,
and there is no error-checking to confirm that the file being edited is
indeed an Anvil of Dawn saved game file. Otherwise, I've tested the program
thoroughly and when used properly, it works great.

As always, the risk of using the program is yours. And yes, it's freeware.

The program takes only one parameter, the path and name of the saved game
file. If it can't find or open the file an error message will be issued.

I'm currently tring to work on adding spell lists to this program's capa-
bilities, so be on the lookout for new versions. If you find any bugs or
have any other feedback, feel free to e-mail me at hbenkiel@mindspring.com.

Cheers, Harry
